ASN to BA/BS advise please - Puttlesbridge - 09-16-2012

I'm just finishing up my ASN with Excelsior, I would like to now work on getting a BA/BS. What would be my best option where i can use all my ASN credits and test out of most of it? Im open to TESC or Excelsior, my years registration with Excelsior is good till April. Any thoughts, advise would be greatly appreciated.

Congratulations!

Once you graduate with your nursing degree, you will have to pay another enrollment fee to start your next degree at EC. The enrollment fee at EC lasts one year or until you graduate, whichever is shorter. If you re-enroll within a year of graduation, the enrollment fee is reduced about 50%. (You'll need to ask your advisor if it is possible to be enrolled for 2 degrees at once.)

A BS at EC in the school of liberal arts with or without a major can have up to 60 credits of free electives. That is the section where your nursing credits are likely to count for those degrees.

Congratulations again on being so close to finishing your nursing degree!

You're not considering a BSN?

After being an LVN for 20 years and getting through the RN program, my heart is no longer in nursing. I would like to get a BA/BS then get my Texas teacher certification. Time for a change.

Thank you for the info on the enrollment fee, I will check with my advisor.
