Am I ready??? - DressageQueen - 08-30-2012 I am scheduled to take the Biology test today at 1:30. I can cancel/reschedule the test as late as 1:20. I just finished taking the 2nd peterson's test and received a 53. I didn't do so great on the 3rd one I took yesterday. I received a 54 on the first peterson's test. Do you think I should take the test today or next week? If I don't pass it, it will mean that I have to wait until March to take it and I will have to add the biology studying to my regular, but already heavy, workload. I am extremely nervous that I won't pass this one because I end up making educated guesses on many of the questions. I can narrow them down to about 2-3 answers. Advice? I really don't know what to doâ¦:confused::confused::confused: By the way⦠I also passed the REA tests with a 54, 55, and a 60. Am I ready??? - Publius - 08-30-2012 I think you may be ready, but I'd personally give myself as much time to study as possible. Keep in mind, the REA tests are easier and the Petersons are harder. I also scored a 53 on the second Petersons and did poorly on the third (a 39). Did you take the FCP PT? They didn't have that when I was studying for Bio, but several months after I took the CLEP he came out with it. Being the testing junkie I am, I took the FCP PT "for fun" (keep in mind Bio is one of my least favorite subject). Anyway, the FCP PT is very accurate, IMO. If you have the time, take that. Bottom line, if you've been reading the explanations to the questions afterwards (to the ones you got wrong AND RIGHT), and understand them well enough, I'd say you're good to go. Good luck and God Bless. Am I ready??? - ShotoJuku - 08-30-2012 You sound as though you may have a 50/50 shot at this and Biology can be a bear. Remember Always: Slow and Steady Wins The Race! Am I ready??? - Westerner - 08-30-2012 The Petersons PTs are most definitely harder, I was scoring about what you were on the Petersons Natural Sciences PTs, and I passed that Clep with 64. Like Publius said reviewing your PT answers is one of the best things you can do: then fill in gaps with Google, Khan Academy, or something like that. |
