I need some guidance - deanew - 06-07-2012 I am so frustrated. I just found out that my lifespan psyc and microbiology wonât transfer to UTA. So now I have the following courses I need to complete and get credit for ASAP: Cell and Molecular Biology BIOL1441 Chemistry CHEM1451 Microbiology BIOL2460 Technical Writing ENGL2338 Elementary Statistical Analysis MATH 1308 Developmental Psychology (lifespan) PSYC3310 Introduction to Sociology SOCI 1311 American Literature ENGL 2329 Along with 3 other nursing prereq courses. I am frustrated because I thought I was actually going to make the application date. I still want to⦠I need help figuring out which of these classes I can test out of and which I still need to take. I also found that I can only take 19 credit a semester with UTA or they wonât count them and all 3 of the sciences are 4 hours. I am currently enrolled in Med Term (that wonât count but I am so far in the course that it would hurt me more to drop it than to finish I think), US HIST 1, US HIST2, TX Govt, Fed Govt. so I can add any "classes" to my load. Have any of you had any luck in testing out of and getting credit for these courses at UTA. I am lost and so busy I canât get my head around all of it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. I searched and searched and been lurking for quite a while, but I still need some assistance. I need some guidance - clep3705 - 06-07-2012 I tested out of biology, chemistry, and statistics at UT Arlington. They don't accept the DSST Technical Writing test, but if another school does give you credit for DSST Technical Writing, UT Arlington will accept it as transfer credit. That's what I did. Sociology - seems like that is something you should look up for yourself: 2012-2013 College Level Examination Program (CLEP) - University College - The University of Texas at Arlington The UT Arlington AP-BSN program is no better than the partner hospital, which is what you need to investigate. I need some guidance - deanew - 06-11-2012 Thanks so much for the response. I work for Texas Health so that will be my partner hospital. I have an appointment to see a counselor, but you have given me hope that I can still pull this off. |
