More new courses from Straighterline coming... - IrishJohn - 06-05-2012 I received an email a couple of weeks ago that invited me to become a tester for some new courses SL is trying to launch. These courses are: ⢠Organizational Behavior ⢠Business Ethics ⢠Western Civilization II ⢠US History II I really don't need any of these myself, nor do I have time to do any of them at the moment, but I thought I'd let everyone know to keep an eye out for them if these will help you finish your degree plan. I have no idea when these courses will be launched and approved by ACE. If I had to guess I'd say probably by the end of the year. Behavior ($99, and UL credit) and DSST options for Ethics (Business Ethics & Society - UL Credit @ EC) since these are both accepted as UL credit at some campuses. Taking them quickly through SL might be good if you have all your UL courses figured out, but if you are still looking for courses, and are considering SL for Org. Behavior and Ethics, getting the UL credit for the same information is much more valuable, easier and cheaper, at least that's my opinion. More new courses from Straighterline coming... - ryoder - 07-03-2012 I love straighterline but I think the CLEP/DSST option should be one's first option on any course since it has almost universal transferability. More new courses from Straighterline coming... - Ace_King - 07-03-2012 I agree. CLEP should be the first option, it's like RA credit and can transfer. However myself personally am fine with ACE credit, I kind of freeze on that "one" exam that can pass or fail you in a course. Straighter line courses I can work my way up, even if I fail "one exam" I can make up for it the next exams. I just been like that, even with standardized tests , I just freeze. Gotta love Straighterline. More new courses from Straighterline coming... - MN456 - 07-04-2012 With TESC making changes this year, are they still accepting straighterline for transfer? More new courses from Straighterline coming... - Tasman - 07-04-2012 There's nothing saying that TESC won't accept straighterline. You can always use ACE. I would do clep/dsst for these subjects, but seeing I am in Australia I find it very convenient to go the straighterline way. It only takes a week or two if you put in some hard graft to complete a course, so that saves me at least an airfare and accommodation. |
