Straighterline, ALEKS, etc. - concreterose05 - 05-18-2012 Hello I'm trying to transfer from a community college to a 4 year university and I really need help. I don't qualify for admission because I haven't taken and passed College Algebra yet . I researched a few programs like Straighterline and ALEKS to help me get the credit quick and be able to apply to the 4 year school. The 4 year school (Southeastern Louisiana University) has ACE listed on their long list of accreditations but i'm not 100% sure if they'll take the credit and apply it towards a degree. Does anyone know a school I can use to polish up the Straighterline course if I decided to take that? Also, how would ALEKS credit show up on my transcript if I sent it through my current community college before sending it to the 4 year school? Would it just show the "P" grade and the equivalent course name "College Algebra"? Thank you for all of your help.Edit: I forgot to add that if anyone knows of a cheap fast pace 100% distance learning program that is regionally accredited. Southeastern Louisiana University - Educational Programs 3.4.8 I looks like they do accept DSST and CLEP, I would call an advisor to see if you can CLEP algebra. |
