Question about UL and LL courses - gmagerr - 05-09-2012 Hi all, I need some clarification on CLEP and DSST test scores. I took Principles of Marketing a week or so ago, and scored a 61. When I transfer the credits to TESC my plan is to take a class there to get a GPA because I want to go for an MBA next. First of all, am I correct in assuming all I need to do is take one class to get a GPA? and second, will a score of 61 on the Marketing CLEP affect that GPA? How does all of that work? Thanks Question about UL and LL courses - cooperalex2004 - 05-09-2012 TESC accepts all "passing" CLEP and DSST scores as CR (Credit), which other schools would write as a P (Pass). It does not affect your GPA, nor does it create one. It will be transcribed as MAR-301 (Marketing and Management Exams are both UL Credit, see CLEP - College-Level Exam Program) and any score of 50 or above will be a CR on your transcript. My understanding (and plan for myself) is that taking only one course will provide a GPA at TESC. Maybe someone else can answer that. You won't have any transfer credits that will carry a grade into TESC (I think places like EC are different, but with TESC the only way to get a GPA is to take at least one of their classes). |
