I am currently in Contracting and take DAU courses on a regular basis. I know some count for college credit, has anyone successfully transferred these to one of the Big 3? And if you did, what equivalancy did they fulfill? Free elective, business? Thanks for the help.

. He just sent me a pm and I replied - Here is what I said:Yes transfer those credits over to ACE for credit and then have them transferred over to TESC. That is what I did and I used them in my BSBA degree. They are actually the same as a lot of TESC's opm courses. What you would have to do is just go into your ACE transcript account and request credit for the courses that you have taken. You normally have the courses approved within 3 to 5 business days (sometimes faster). If you have any more ?? please let me know.

I didn't go the DAU route. TESC accepted my CCAF credits as Operational Management Credit. But if you check out the following link, TESC gives course titles that count for the Operations Management Degree, some of the DAU titles are in there and will probably transfer over as such. I received 12 Operations Management credit for CCAF and only need to complete Intro to Operations Management and Total Quality Management for my upper levels.

I had a few DAU while still on active duty and they transfered to TESC as follows
ACQ 101 = OPM-324 Intro to Logistics 1 CR
LOG 101 = OPM-405 Principles of Fed Acquisition 2 CR
I am going towards the BSBA and these went under the GMS Elective Area.

Sent in the DAU transcript to TESC just to see what would happen. On the updated Academic Eval, rec'd 9 additional hours.
I'm not sure how the courses transferred, but on my DAU transcript, ACE recommended:
CON 270 - 3U
CON 170 - 3U
ACQ 101 - 2L
CON 234 - 3L
The following new entries appeared on my BSBA GENMGT eval:
Gen Ed Elective: ECO-375; Econ of Mergers & Acquisitions 3 SH
GMS Required (Group 3): OPM-407; Government Contract Admin 3 SH
Business Electives: OPM-405; Principles of Fed Acquisition 2 SH
GMS Elective (Group 1): OPM-409; Contract Administration 3 SH
Also of note,
1. CON1619 (Government Contracting Ap) (3SH) was moved from GMS Required Group 3 to GMS Elective Group 1
2. CON1616 (Intro Contract Admin) (2SH) was moved from to other courses and deemed RI. It appears the new OPM-409 above replaced the CON1616, but not sure. CON1616 was 2 SH, OPM 409 is 3 SH.

Just bumping an old thread to help out my fellow Federal Acquisition brothers and sisters. If you have taken Defense Acquisition University (DAU) courses, TESC will transfer them in as upper level credit for your bachelor's.
