I am 20 or so credits or so away from graduating with a BA in Psych from TESC. All my credits being applied were taken at brick and mortar colleges and my combined GPA is a 4.0. If I were to take (and I plan to) the remaining 20 credits through testing out and take 1 or 2 classes at TESC, and assuming I maintained my GPA in my TESC courses, can I partake in their graduation ceremony and graduate with honors? I dont know what you call it in college, but in HS it was called Valedictorian.

I don't think so. There are a few awards and honors offered, but it doesn't sound like you'll qualify for any of them. See "Awards and Honor Societies" on this page for details. About Thomas Edison State College

Not all colleges offer Latin honors, however, that doesn't stop you from putting your GPA on your resume!

At Excelsior you would graduate Summa Cum Laude. That was something that bothered me about TESC to be honest, but Excelsior gave me far less transfer credit for my AAS than TESC did (almost 60) and I didn't really like Excelsior's IT programs that much anyway. TESC has a couple of awards including induction into an honor society, but there are limitations. Details in this thread.

I agree with Cookderosa- nothing can take away your ability to put "graduated with a 4.0" on your resume, regardless of how TESC views it. When I was at COSC's graduation ceremony, a few classmates were complaining about not getting honors in spite of a high GPA. I don't exactly remember details, but they said that a certain number of credits had to come directly from COSC classes (I think maybe 30) in order to be eligible for awards.
It's a bummer, but kind of makes sense... even non-profit schools want to reward the loyal students who spent a certain amount of money to support them. After all, COSC couldn't stay in business with students like us. Yes I know you were asking about TESC, but it's the same idea.

While completing my AAS in Emergency Management at Clackamas Community College, I was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa honor society for my 4.0gpa. While the school may apply their own more stringent inductions rules at the chapter level, every honor society that I have looked into requires a minimum of 12 graded semester hours of work at that school for consideration.
Now that I am completing my undergraduate at TESC, I decided that I would do a minimum of 12sh of their courses so that I would have both a GPA and the possibility of induction into Kappa Delta Pi. I have not been able to get anyone at TESC to confirm the number of TESC credits necessary for consideration of induction though.
I don't really care so much about these honor societies, but believe that it may have a useful impact on my graduate school applications.
