Introductory Sociology - tdw - 03-12-2012 I am also new to the forum just took my first Clep today introduction to sociology, passed got a 53, thought I was going to get a much higher score but hey I got my 3 credits YAY!!! Still need to take some more,,,, I used mostly ic flash card, feed back from specific forum, saw a lot of familiar questions for ic flash cards... Am soooo happy, thanks for all the feedback on the forums Introductory Sociology - canursegreg - 03-13-2012 I just took my first ever CLEP - Intro Sociology. I prepped for 5 days. I used Instacert, some SpeedyPrep and that was it. I passed with 58 (50 was passing). In hindsight, I didn't know you can buy from the CLEP site CollegeBoard for 10$ I probably would have paid that. BUT, it's over and I am on to the next. BTW, I kept a running word doc in tables and documented the test I was taking, then used the kitchen timer to time me. Just so that today, I wouldn't be freaked out being timed. Once I got high scores, I'd move onto the next subject matter. Once all were complete, I'd select all tests, then selected the randomly select choice and did the full test in about 50 minutes. However, I recommend studying longer or with the CLEP studyguide from Collegeboard as well. I liked the instacert electronic functionality. Sorry so lengthy. GOOD LUCK! Introductory Sociology - Wolley - 03-14-2012 Thanks! What is it that you can buy from the CLEP site CollegeBoard? Introductory Sociology - Wolley - 03-14-2012 Congratulations on passing the CLEP! This official book has very realistic practice tests and is definitely worth having. You may purchase the 2012 CLEP® Official Study Guide after making a gratuitous donation to the College Board.
