US History Clep Exam Part 1 - sweetichrisssyy - 03-05-2012

I was wondering if anyone who has taken this exam can give me an idea of how hard it is. I have been studying the info from this website but I am still nervous because I really need the credits. Any info/advice would be helpful.

US History Clep Exam Part 1 - All-American - 03-05-2012

This was my first CLEP. I over studied & studied on topics that I didn't need to study for this test, but I ended up with a score of 71. Smile I would recommend that you look into the Peterson's tests (should be able to find the info by doing a search of this forum). They were an amazing help!! I also really found this website to be a great. They have a link to some great free practice tests written by a school teacher for students taking the AP. Also look into her list of topics to study. I read through these & searched the ones I wasn't as familiar with on Wikipedia & it helped me immensely!!

If you study all the points that are recommended in the links above I think you shouldn't have a problem. It's not a particularly hard test. I had no idea what I was doing when I began studying-- ended up studying for two or three months. The real thing that helped me dive in was this forum...gave me the confidence I needed to schedule the test!!!

Blessings to you!!

US History Clep Exam Part 1 - HorseManiac - 03-06-2012

Hi there,

If you like watching videos to study here are 2 that I used that were really good.

HippoCampus - History & Government

Annenberg Media - A Biography of America

You only need to watch the ones for the time period that the US History 1 covers. The flashcards were helpful as well.

HTH!
