Where to apply my prior credits? - poptart26 - 01-09-2012 Hi Everyone, After being gone from the boards for a while, I am back and finally want to complete a bachelor's degree. I have been a lurker, small poster for about 2 years now. I am going to create plans for all of the Big 3 where it makes sense and see what plan looks the best. However, I'm not sure where to apply my prior credits that are from regionally accredited schools. I have 33 credits I hope to transfer and here they are: From Cal State University, Bakersfield: THTR 242 - Stage Make-up - 2 Units BIOL 210 - Principles of Animal Biology - 5 units PLSI 101 - Government & Politics - 5 - units SOC 100 - Intro to Sociology - 5 units I believe the school was on a quarter basis when I went there; Fall, Winter & Spring. I don't know if this matters. Minneapolis Community and Technical College: ENGL 0110 - College Comp 1 - 5 credits ENGL 0151 - Int Short Story - 4 credits PSYC 0123 - General Psychology 1 - 3 credits SPCH 0111 - Interper Communications - 4 credits This was also a Fall, Winter, Spring school when I went there. I know where the English Comp 1 can go, but I have a question about that. If I take the English Comp with Essay CLEP, can I apply my English Comp 1 elsewhere? Or would I be better off taking the English Comp without the Essay and using my Comp 1 together to satisfy the GE English requirement for all schools? BTW, I am considering a BALS or possibly a BA in Art. The Art BA seems to be more complicated and I'm not sure where I will get all the art courses required for the degree. Also, I have a 90 credit AAS with the wrong accreditation. Is there any point in sending it in? It is in Visual Communications / Graphic Design. All thoughts, plan suggestions, ideas, etc... please send them my way!! Thank you in advance! |
