CLEP testing sites - skybirds - 12-17-2011 I was under the erroneous notion I could write a CLEP exam at any University / Prometric or Sylvian test site. I'm in Canada. I saw 13 test locations. I don't live near any of the cities listed. This has been discussed before but I'm unclear. Can I go to an alternate test site other than what the College Board listed? CLEP testing sites - marianne202 - 12-18-2011 I believe that if there is no test site within a reasonable distance you can locate an authorized test center, usually another school site and try to request approval through CLEP/DSST. The problem is that it will most likely have to be a paper and pencil exam as the location wouldn't have access to their testing software system. I do know that I discussed this with CLEP and DSST since my closest test center was 45 minutes away, but I believe the distance has to be over 100 miles or something like that. I would call them and find out if they have used another facility that is closer in the past, as they may have something all ready set up, but not listed on their website. I ended up having to drive 90 minutes each way to get to a decent test center that tested on a the only day I was available. I usually took 2 exams each time to make it worth the drive. Good luck! |
