Straighterline transcript question - robsteffens - 12-15-2011 Does a Straighterline transcript sent to TESC show a letter grade or pass/fail? In other words: I am considering TESC's accelerated BSN program. They say Math/Science prerequisites must have letter grades, not show pass/fail. Would Straighterline work? Thanks so much in advance, Rob Straighterline transcript question - methibosheth - 12-15-2011 I'm a little rusty on this, so don't kill me if I'm wrong ![]() Straighterline transcript question - rebel100 - 12-15-2011 COSC accepts it for a letter grade. I am pretty sure TESC and EC do the same. Straighterline transcript question - methibosheth - 12-15-2011 Why then were people transcripting through FSHU? Straighterline transcript question - cookderosa - 12-15-2011 methibosheth Wrote:Why then were people transcripting through FSHU? Because TESC does NOT transcript SL for a letter grade (Rebel?). Use Straighterline's partner college tab for a list of the schools and how they are transcribed. It will tell you which ones come in as pass/fail and which ones are graded at which schools. Straighterline transcript question - robsteffens - 12-15-2011 Hey all thanks for the comments. Jennifer: I'm not sure if we're on the same track (I hope not at least!). I'm not asking how a Straighterline course would appear on a TESC transcript. I'm asking if Straighterline sends a letter grade or a pass/fail transcript to TESC. Again, I'm wanting to get into their accelerated BSN, but TESC requires science prerequists to be letter graded, not pass/fail. So I'm wondering if Straighterline transcripts would arrive at TESC in letter grade format or pass/fail?? Was this what you were addressing? Thanks again, Rob Straighterline transcript question - bricabrac - 12-15-2011 Rob, By what I was told straighterline reports percentages, it is then up to the college to transcribe that percentage however they choose. As long as the grade percentage is 70pct or better, TESC will post it as CR NE (whether received direct from SL or ACE). BTW, unless you plan to use the transcript elsewhere, don't waste money using ACE to SL to TESC. I found that TESC treats the SL direct transcript the same as if it was sent by ACE. If you check your transcript received page, when the SL transcript arrives it will be listed on the institutions attended "0010887 TESC-ACE" line. I know this was a mouthful but the additional $40/$15 can be used elsewhere. methibosheth, What was nice about FHSU, SL courses were transferred as its own course and transcribed under FHSUs grading system (90-100pct=A, 80-89pct=B...). I would assume this was the reason they would accept only five of SLs courses. Along with the probability of enrolling students, although there was never a hard (or soft) sale. Even so, it is too bad that option is no longer available. seems the o/o sign can still get weird... |
