Looking for an Online Graphic Design Course - Levi - 10-11-2011
I'm trying to find a good, solid online (or self-study) graphic design course. This is just for personal enrichment, not to fulfill any sort of requirements. I'm hoping to use what I learn at the small business where I work. I do marketing, advertising, and website admin.
I've browsed online, but if anyone has some past experience with online graphic design courses, please let me know. Thanks!

I was going to recommend Rio Salado college in Arizona, but the distance learning tuition is $215/cr. ouch! I have taken photoshop, and illustrator (among many other courses) from them, but it was in-state tuition for me.
Actually, what helped me more than anything, especially for personal enrichment and to get through my actual classes(!) is Lynda.com Software training online-tutorials for Adobe, Microsoft, Apple & more. It is a goldmine of knowledge set up as a monthly or yearly membership. An incredible resource that I can't recommend highly enough!

eclasses.org -course: Design Concepts, teacher: Astrid Garcia. My mom is a web designer and she was just thrilled with this class and teacher. She took it when she was first getting started and says she learned a ton from it. Good luck!

Both suggestions are great. Lynda.com is a great value and quick reference. I've been looking for a solid design basics book, so I ordered the one for the class PG recommended. It is excellent. If you do order it go with the second edition. eClasses.org :: Course Catalog :: Design Concepts
