Let's see if I got his right...HELP with TESC,FEMA and CLEP please! - thedaye - 09-27-2011 Ok...after weeks of doing my research online, I have the following plan to get my BA and hope I got everything right... I want to get my BA from TESC(seems to be the cheapest and fastest way). 1. Paying the admission fee (75bucks for 6 months evaluation?) to 2. sending in Fema, CLEPS, DSST, ALEKS credits (which I can complete withing these 6 month) after getting close to 120 credits 3. enroll at TESC 4. Getting my degree. :hurray: My husband is active duty so I have easy access to base to do the tests. Is it correct that Mycaa(military spouse scholarship) will not pay for CLEPS or TESC fees(enrollment)? Are there no hidden fees to get the degree? Just the enrollment fee and tech. service fee? Are there any good FREE CLEP study guides? websites? anything? Don't get me wrong. I am not cheap or anything like that. Just like the others here...simply broke. I am glad to have found a way around the system. :reddevil: I am originally from Europe(yes, where education is free and public) and as much as I love the U.S., I find it discouraging, stupid, and simply UNFAIR that we have to pay these ridiculous high fees(or join the military) for getting a better education! It's a joke! Anyway... Thanks for your answers! Just a small point to clarify, you're not going "around the system" you're working within it. Knowing the rules is half of winning. I point this out because the tone of what you said makes CLEP look underhanded in some way, and that's not the case at all. Any random college student at nearly any random college in the USA can use CLEP exams to their advantage. Testing out of 15, 30, or even 45 credits+ of their degree. It's not a go around, it's 100% allowed- if you bother to learn about it. Let's see if I got his right...HELP with TESC,FEMA and CLEP please! - cookderosa - 09-28-2011 your plan should work.
