Question about clep/dsst/ece - cparrish - 09-23-2011 Hi, I have a question about exams, is it possible to take a bunch of exams(clep, dsst, ece, etc) before actually enrolling in any of the big three, and then after have 40-50 credits then applying? If so, when you take the exam what college code do you enter? Or will I have to enroll in a college and then take the exams. Thanks Question about clep/dsst/ece - thiagocastro - 09-24-2011 You do not need to be enrolled to take the test. I have read numerous post of people completing all of the test and then sending their transcripts to the big three to get evaluated. Some members have completely tested out of college degrees this way. Im supposing that Clep DSST and ECE will be able to send your college of choice official transcripts once you feel you are ready to enroll. I can not fully help you with this question since i am pursuing an Embry Riddle degree and My transcripts work differently being in the military. One advice that i can give you is to use the Search button and search "im done, degree completed, transfer credits, and waiting evaluation" the search function works decent on this site, but you will still have to navigate a little bit. Hopefully someone that has done what you are trying to do will be able to point you in a further direction, best of luck Question about clep/dsst/ece - Storyteller - 09-24-2011 cparrish, You don't have to select a recipient for your test scores, however, when you request transcripts to be sent to the various institutions there will be a fee. I applied only to TESC and had my transcripts sent to them and after several evaluations, I enrolled. At the time of enrollment I had 114 credits transferred in - mostly from DSST, Clep, Ace, FEMA and ECE. I'm currently taking a 6 credit course with TESC to complete my degree. Good luck Question about clep/dsst/ece - ryoder - 09-24-2011 Thats the way to do it. Just send all test results to the school you think you will enroll in. If you change your mind later on, you will need to pay about $20 to have a transcript sent to the school with all of your CLEPs. |
