FEMA credits transferring to TESC??? - Doctor H - 08-14-2011

Is there a maximum amount of credits TESC accepts from FEMA?

Also, where can the FEMA credits be applied?

Thanx in advance.

I believe it is 32 credits but they can only be applied to your free electives (with one which is rumored to count for humanities). You can use the search tool to find a ton more information. Good luck!

I only have 6 hours needed of Free Electives. Can they also apply to "General Education Electives"? Seems like so little, only 6 hours Sad

One thing to remember, There are plenty of CLEP tests that cost $77 + Sitting Fee that can provide 6credits.

FEMA costs around $70 per credit.

Yes, they are "free" credits, but cost more money to transcribe.

CLEP will cost money and time for studying, but can be used in many aspects of your degree path.

If you haven't already applied those 6credit courses to your degree, you may be better of doing that.

Just a suggestion.

TESC accepts FEMA credits directly, so they're still free. All I did was request a FEMA transcript to be sent to TESC for free and my credits were applied.

Ditto Sanantone!
I did the same thing. No cost at TESC to transfer - Yay!!! - I saved almost $900 by not having to take the Clep tests.

You mean you got all your free electives as FEMAs???

TESC's most recent catalog upped their accepted count to 32. They are free to transfer in to TESC, and go into your Free Electives area, nowhere else. I haven't heard of one being good for gen ed electives, could be good to know.

FYI you should look around here for the list of FEMAs accepted, they don't take all of them.
