HELP! Natural Sci vs Biology - lsulli10 - 07-28-2011

Long story short. I took the Natural Science a few moths ago and passed with a 59. Found out my school offers the exam and doesn't accept credit. Now I have to take the Biology.YIKES! I'm about a week in studying with REA, I.A. & websites but it is SO much information!!! Who has taken both exams and can advise the level of panic/fervor I should instill in myself? I plan on another week of study and then the exam & I have a decent science background knowledge.(This test is my last credit till graduation & I've been student teaching elementary school)

Thanks!!

I haven't taken either of them, but from what people say, biology is REALLY tough. Unless you have a very good knowledge of the subject, a week study won't cut it. Do a search on the forum to find members who've taken it, ot more information about it. Also, search the specific feedback area (if you are a paying member).

Biology is not really tough. I studies for Nat Sci first also and then realized that I needed 12 bio credits for my natural science degree at TESC. So I read the CLEP bio book and took half of a practice test. Then I signed up for straighterline A&P I&II, finished those and then began studying again for the bio CLEP.

The key is to study a lot and don't freak out. The test is not actually that hard. I was worried about it and ended up with a pretty high score, maybe 68 or so.

Watch the kahnacademy.org videos, read the REA book, take each test. Then go take the petersons practice tests. I posted the link to test 1 as a pdf. Make sure you understand all of your wrong answers after doing the practice.
