ALEKS and Straighterline - jackbanta - 06-30-2011
So, I just got done with ALEKS College Algebra... passed my first assessment after spending 6 and a half hours doing it over a couple days. I'm not great at math, but I am good at using the internet, so I was able to reason my way through it. Anyway, I'm going to take ALEKS Intro to Stats next and then onto Straighterline to take Accounting I and II.
This all leads me to question... should I wait until after I've finished my Straighterline courses to request my ACE transcript sent? My college is Excelsior and I understand that they're partnered with Straighterline, but would the process be easier/faster just getting everything transcribed to ACE and then sent?

Well there is a transcript fee everytime you send your transcript out. So if could wait I probably would. You could always just have your Straighterline stuff sent directly to EC. I think these choices will be entirely up to you and how you want to hand this.

Thanks, Allison. I didn't figure there was a difference between having an ACE transcript or having Straighterline send the info directly to Excelsior, but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything!

Stats is a pain (I did business stats). There's another thread in here were someone (forget their name) posted copies of the questions and explanations. Great help in working through the problems.

Thanks for the heads up on stats, Valsacar... I think I've seen that thread before somewhere, I'll have to go digging.
I have another quick question though, I went through the ACE process of adding ALEKS, and following the My Courses link, it's list under approved. If I then click on the Order Transcripts link, it appears there as well. Does that mean I'm good to go and start Statistics now at ALEKS?
I apologize for the easy, obvious questions, I just want to be 100% confident I'm not messing anything up, because although the Algebra only took me a few hours, those are a few hours I don't want to ever repeat.
