Environment and Humanity DSST - jmichelle79 - 06-21-2011

So here's the deal, my friend is unable to test this Sat. I want to take her slot and test for Environment and Humanity (Its the only exam that I think I may pass with such short notice). I will also be taking Business Law clep.

I took the 1st practice test cold and scored a 53. I know not good, but more than 50. I reviewed Snyderm's notes and printed them.

Does anyone think I have a shot at passing? With more study of course.

I have never taken more than 1 exam at a time, so this makes me a little nervous.

You have more than enough to time to prep for this one and pass! I failed CLEP biology (NOT a science girl at all!), started studying for this one on 6/15, took the test on 6/17 and scored 56 needing only 46.

I ONLY studied snyderm's notes and took all 3 Peterson's practice tests using the results as additional study material.

You can DO this!

I should have mentioned that I studied for Biology WITH the REA book and cd-rom tests for weeks and still couldn't pass that one. Environment and Humanity was far more easier for me to grasp and retain.

I decided on Sat and took the test Tues last week - got a 70 - Used Snyderms, IC and all 3 Peterson's.
You can do it!
It's a great test, 3 credits and Natural Science which I needed!

I would not have passed this one cold, but I didn't study a ton for it. It's been a while, but I think I maybe worked on it for an hour a two a day for about five days. It's not difficult, but there were several items that I would not have known had I not read about it first.

HTH and good luck!

I passed with a 55.

I used Snyderms notes and did 3 practice tests. A couple hours total study time.

Thanks for all of your advice, I'm glad you gave it. Smile
