US History II CLEP - beetlebored - 04-27-2011 I was wondering if the IC questions would sufficiently cover the material in the U.S History Test II to pass the test or whether another source would probably be required. I have heard that this test is quite difficult and so was wondering how helpful IC is for preparing for it. Thanks US History II CLEP - laoshijeff - 04-27-2011 IC was helpful but you will probably want to supplement it with a textbook like The American Pageant. My exam had a lot of questions about the Korean War especially so you need to know that one cold. Reading a textbook will help you put all the pieces of the information on the flashcards together for the whole story. US History II CLEP - Storyteller - 04-27-2011 I took the test February 2011 and have enclosed the feedback that I posted at that time. ["I just today passed Clep US History II with a 74 - I used IC, REA, Peterson's, Sparknotes and Historyteacher.net (History AP), I studied 2 wks. It usually takes me 3-4 wks. The test was 120 questions and I swear I could have used IC exclusively to pass this test. I'm not good at guessing so I tend to study hard. With IC do every section - I found the number of categories daunting so I started from the bottom up since it covered information that I had lived through. [Nixon was president when I graduated HS!] You gotta love it! The test is straightforward - few subjective questions - it's good to know a little about everything from 1877 to 2000."] Hope this helps. (I don't remember any era or event dominating the questions.) US History II CLEP - CLEP101 - 04-27-2011 I would definitely supplement the IC flashcards although they are pretty good for this test. I used IC, REA, and Peterson's practice tests. I think I also read a Pass Your Class Study guide as over kill. US History II CLEP - beetlebored - 04-28-2011 Thanks for the help From other threads and forums it seems that the U.S. History II is a lot more conceptual and the US. History I is more factual. Does this seem to be true?? I also have the option to take the U.S. I rather then U.S. II and am leaning towards taking U.S. I. Does this seem like the advisable move to take?? Thanks a lot. US History II CLEP - beetlebored - 04-28-2011 Btw I'm a still in school and have learned most of what I know from studying history in school.
