I have had it outside of our beautiful state (or prepared for persons who did not grow up here) and there are different kinds, including one that is kind of like a cheesecake (yuk!).... You are so right about that.... the first time I ever had key lime pie I was in Florida and my friends Mom picked the key limes off a tree from their yard and made it for dessert that night! It's still the best one I've ever had, but I can fake it pretty good with Key Lime Juice that I found at our Super Stop & Shop !
