A Month Later and still no academic eval-TESC - emichele20 - 03-21-2011

Okay, I just need to vent. It has been a month and still no academic evaluation from tesc. I do not know if I want to laugh or cry at this point. I was slated to begin school on 4/2011. My last transcript was received on 2/18/2011. I have emailed on numerous occasions and I even called this morning. My only issue now (aside from the evaluation not being done) is that I am hoping that my eval does not get rushed and credits just get put anywhere or completely left out.

If you have had a similar experience or issue, Please let me know what you have done to resolve it.

Thanks

I just got mine going into the 5th week, so it should be coming very soon. They will send you an email when it's posted.

i think they post evals within 4-6 weeks. Their evals in my experience were good. They will use as many credits as they can towards your program.

!

Thanks OneDayDegree and SRT12. I just have to be patient but it is killing me. I wish I had this type of energy when I was younger. I would be a doctor by now Smile lol.

After eight weeks with no eval I finally called and complained. It was posted within an hour after that.

The good news is they are pretty good about applying your various credits to your maximum benefit.

Oh my, eight weeksSad. Well pretty soon I will be approaching that (hopefully not though). I called as well and I was told that the department head was being contacted. How can they do this? They should have a better tracking system with so many students coming from all across the globe.

Don't worry, you are not the first or last. It took me 8 weeks as well. My wife was 8 weeks too. What sucks is that after you finish a CLEP or DSST or other transfer credit and send it in to TESC, guess what, it will take them 6-8 weeks to add them to your eval as well. It never ends, but thankfully I'm done with them. Big Grin

This is my current situation. They received the DANTES transcript from my last test (rise and fall) on 3/1/11 but it is still not on my evaluation. Its really a bummer seeing 117 credits on an eval when I have all 120. My application for graduation is in and is probably being held up by this. I thought with that app in hand they would accelerate adding that transcript...apparently not.

clep101- I think that I would be sorta okay with the 6 to 8 weeks after I got my first eval. I just feel like I am flying blind. I cannot register for any test, classes or anything else because I do not want to waste money on any courses that will not be applied to my degree plan. I just want to know how many credits I have and start finding courses/tests to take so that I can knock everything out before the end of the year. Just with anything in life I hate being in limbo and its a whole lot worse when I have my husband asking me everyday if its ready yet..lol Smile

blu2blu- I hope that you hear back soon and Congrats on finishing your degree.

I feel your pain "Bill Clinton".
I am trying to graduate and I am so worried that they won't grade and apply my last TECEP by the end of the month. If they don't then I will miss June graduation and have to graduate months later, not even sure when.
They are notoriously slow with doing evals and transcribing tests. Just take a deep breath and try to do the eval yourself with help on here.
