Tecep - jmichelle79 - 03-14-2011 Hello, I'm sorry if this question has been answered in the past. I was unable to find it. Does one need to be enrolled at tesc to take a TECEP exam? Thanks  Tecep - Mian - 03-14-2011 Thomas Edison State College | Enrolled Options Plan Look on that page you can see there's an option for the TECEP that includes students who are not enrolled in either plan. Looks like the fee is more than double if you're not enrolled. I haven't tried doing it that way, though, so there could be something I'm missing. You could email TESC to find out for certain. You have to find your own proctor, which isn't that hard, but then if you want to call TESC and ask a question before you pay 700 dollars or so to take the test, forget it. I tried for a few months to get anyone there to respond and it was pointless. If you need additional UL credits, I would stick with the Excelsior College Exams. You just call up EC (and they actually answer the phone), pay your money and then schedule with Pearson Vue testing center. Check to see if you have a Pearson Vue within driving distance first. As I mentioned in another post, Pearson Vue gets booked up, so you may have to wait several weeks to schedule, but it's a way better option than jumping through hoops with TESC. I'm sure others here have had better experiences with TECEPs, and mine would probably have been uneventful had I not needed to call TESC. Tecep - jmichelle79 - 03-14-2011 Thank you for the feedback. I love this site :hurray: I'm trying to figure out how I wish to proceed with my testing. I will look into ECE exams. Tecep - blu2blu - 03-14-2011 Good luck dealing with TESC customer service. They struggled quite a bit to figure out how my GI Bill would pay for a TECEP. |
