I took MA2's advice and have been going through the IC flashcards as well as the free-clep-prep.com practice tests. (Thanks, by the way! Great resource!)On the practice test I just completed I did about 30% better compared to the first first time I took it. I still failed it but I did get better. I'm still nervous about taking this DANTES test tomorrow morning, but I do feel more confident than I did a couple of days ago. Is there anyone else who has recently taken the Astronomy test? If so, did you use IC as a resource? Did you use the free-clep-prep.com practice tests also as a resource? If so, did you find that the more you went through the practice test that the better you did? If so, did you also find that the same questions were, or at least the same content, were on the DANTES test. (I understand there are rules against the same questions being on the practice test as what's on the actual exam.) But, were the questions the same content and maybe the questions were worded differently so they wouldn't be the same exact questions? I just want to feel more confident by test time. If I don't then I'll probably cancel and wait until next week. But, I'm under a deadline here. By April 26th I have to have my last 6 credits on my UOP transcript. Ughhh! What to do? Sorry to be a bother, I just need some more input. Thanks! Anyone?

Remember: You don't have to score 90%+ to pass the exam... the passing score is just what the average "C" college student would get if he or she took that exam. You can beat the average C student, stay confident.

Edit: also, the questions are very similar. I recall one question about the speed of light being 300,000 KM/sec that was on the practice test and on my real exam.

I just took it about a week ago and I thought the questions were very similar to the practice test.
To study, I just watched the Standard Deviants series and took the freeclepprep.com practice test.
I went over all of the incorrect answers I scored and then went on and took the actual DSST.
I scored higher than I expected since I don't have a background in Astronomy at all Smile
