Exam Schedule Help - burbuja0512 - 01-18-2011

Hi All,

I am RUSHING to get all my business requirements done. Not sure if I've posted about this, but the reason is this: I paid for my COSC enrollment at the end of June 2010. I get one year of enrollment for the 1500 bucks or so it cost me. In order to graduate before I have to re-enroll (and pay another 1500), I need to complete all my credit requirements AND take a mandatory Capstone class. The absolute latest Captone class I could sign up for to make the June deadline begins on 3/7.

So, what I'm saying is that I need to be done with ALL of my business requirements well before 3/7 so that I can sign up for the capstone. Keep in mind that it can take several weeks for my CLEP and DSST scores to be received by COSC.

Here are the tests I still have to take - and a tentative schedule. I would love to hear your feedback on how possible this is.

1/19 - Microeconomics CLEP
1/22 - Principles of Management CLEP
1/26 - Business Law I ****I don't need business law I, but should I take it anyhow since I have to do Business Law II?
1/31 - Business Law II DSST
2/5 - Principles of Finance DSST
2/11 - Money and Banking DSST
2/16 - Organizational Behavior DSST

During this time, I'll be finishing up SL Accounting II in my spare time. The timing on this doesn't worry me too much as I know that SL is really quick about transferring credits to COSC. I think it only took them a couple days to show up on my transcript last time.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!!!!

I think this is possible. You seem like a super motivated student and do well at retaining material learned under pressure. I would say give it your best and see how it goes. The worst case scenario is you go over the deadline and pay more money. It still comes out way cheaper than the traditional route. I am under a similar deadline as well -- I don't want to pay TESC twice. I admire your motivation and determination-- you work full time, i think you said you have 5 kids, you are a wife and mother etc. etc. I think it is amazing what you have accomplished so far!! Go for it and let us know how it goes!! Cheering you on :hurray:

Awwww... thank you!!! You're too kind!! Part of the secrect to my success is working from home. Sometimes in sales, you put in 14 hour days and travel all over the place and other times, you can work a few hours and then take a study break. If I had to go into a traditional office setting, it would slow me down considerably.

I'll be sneaking away in a couple of hours to do microeconomics. Smile
