I need some help. I am a current Excelsior college nursing student. I just received an unofficial evaluation. I need help in finding the fastest way to achieve this. excelsior says that I need,
21 arts and Sciences, UL
6 credits, in any area , UL
11 credits LL or UL in any area.
It then states that" if you enroll in the BS Psychology, your requirements would be the same as noted above. However, 24 of those credits would need to be in psychology (15) Upper level.
I allready have Intro to Psych, and Human development.

Look at what credit Excelsior gives for exams, then look at LSU Independent Study for additional UL Psychology courses. I don't remember if U Wyoming offers any, but BYU and U Colorado Pueblo are other possibilities.

here:

second selection down right hand side under "EC exam resources and services". Thars the book that tells you where tests fall and what they are worth.

Quickest way to do it is to start studying and knocking out tests. DSSt has several UL tests. Just find 27 (9 classes) credits that qualify and knock them out. Will they count any of your Nursing courses ?

Also the schools mentioned above by yenesi all have credits that you are looking for, though that will be more expensive than testing out in most cases. LSU and BYU both allow their courses to be completed quicker than CSU......but CSY has a lot of courses available and you can still finish a course in about 12 weeks.
Dont forget that EC offers UL credit through their own exams also.

For the LL credit you might be able to use FEMA's transcribed through Frederich CC at about $76/credit.......pretty darn fast ! But not at all cheap! Be around $800 just for the 11 LL you need. You might be better off tackling a few of the easier LL CLEP exams like Analyzing and Interpreting Lit (6LL credits), Technical Writing (3LL credits), and maybe Sociology (3LL credits) Thats 12 LL credits in three tests for about $300.

Just FYI, the ones bolded above will not count towards a Psych Major and EC is very specific about what will fulfill the major.
EC's Major in Psych requires the following -
I. Core Requirements:

IA - Intro to Psychology - Fulfilled by Intro Psych
IB - Statistics - Would be fulfilled by DSST Statistics
IC - Research Methods - Would be fulfilled by ECE Research Methods in Psychology
ID - History and Systems
IE - Research & Writing - This can be fulfilled if you have a 8+ page graded paper from a prior psych class that they can review, IIRC.

II. Intermediate and Upper Level Requirements

IIA. Biological and Psychological Perspectives
IIB. Developmental Perspectives - Fulfilled by Human Development - Would be duplicated by ECE Psychology of Adulthood and Aging
IIC. Social Influences
IID. Abnormal Psychology - Would be fulfilled by ECE Abnormal Psychology
IIE. Cognitive Bases - Would be fulfilled by CLEP Educational Psychology

III. Elective
Would be fulfilled by ECE Organizational Behavior BUT NOT DSST Organizational Behavior

If you were already enrolled in Excelsior, then you're probably eligible to take the Psych GRE for potentially 30 credits. There's only one time left to take it to meet the deadline - it's the April test.

The question would be if EC would allow them to transfer the GRE Subject credits to a bachelor's. Since technically it is moving to a 'new' type of degree (from Nursing to Liberal Studies) it 'resets' the eligibility. Which would mean they'd also have to do the capstone course as well.

I forgot to mention it earlier, but Ohio U is another credit-by-exam option for a few psychology courses, but I would exhaust all CLEP and DSST options first.
