TESC BA Psych - can stats check 2 boxes? - cframe - 11-02-2010 Stats is required for the core requirements of BA is Psych, but also fits into the Natural Sciences/Math box. Will TESC allow you to check both boxes with one course? TESC BA Psych - can stats check 2 boxes? - Kaz - 11-03-2010 I don't know what TESC's policy is but it is standard policy at almost all universities that you can't do that. No "double-dipping" as it were. If you think about it, that would apply to pretty much every course for every major, right? Anyone who majored in a natural science would clear all natural science requirements, all psych classes would clear any social sciences requirements, etc. So the Gen Ed and Free Electives have to be (supposed to be) courses in addition to your major. That being said, when I was a Rutgers we did have one requirement where they explicitly told us we could double-dip. So if no else responds to this thread you should still contact them and explicitly ask about this particular class, just to be safe. No, you cannot use a course twice. Search the forums there are quite a few members who majored in psychology. There is probably a degree map posted. Stats is used for both, so that is where my crossover in her degree plan is. Thanks for the info. |
