Hi everyone!
My trusty phone has decided to die on me and now i am in need of a new one. I have no idea what type is best and after completely confusing myself on review boards i am more confused than ever. I have narrowed it down to four choices: 1) the Samsung a777, 2)LG GU295, 3) LG VU touch and 4) the LG Shine. I don't need anything to fancy because i mainly use it for calling and texting. Does anyone have any advice, recommendations, or warnings against them? Thanks in advance!

I've had the LG Vu for almost two years and I am happy with it. I don't have internet, just texting and calling and it works great for that. It's a good mp3 player too.

Thank you rmroberts! The VU is the one that looks the nicest to me i just wanted to see how it might compare to some others. how does the touch screen hold up? does it respond quickly or do you need to press pretty firmly?

I do always keep a screen protector on it.

I don't use it so I don't know much about it, but she seems to like it. The only downside I'm aware of is it does not have a micro sd slot. Since my phone is my mp3 player I need my micro sd slot, but if you're not going to store music or anything on there, I don't guess it matters.
