NetTutor: Possible Alternative to ALEKS? - wb.john - 08-04-2010
I thought I would share this in case anyone might find it useful. Courses approved by PONSI are generally eligible for direct transfer to any of the big three. I was looking through the listings and found Link Systems International.
The company's website: NetTutor
They offer self-paced courses in Algebra, Statistics (lower level), and Pre-Calculus (notably recommended for 5 credits).
The cost of these courses is unclear from the website. It only states that the tutoring service starts at $30.
Who knows, maybe you can complete the courses without paying for any tutoring service. That would be a good deal. Those who find ALEKS an unpleasant endeavor might like the tutoring service.
