TESC EC New but my 2 cents - kisseld - 07-29-2010 Hi All I am new to the process. I am weighing TESC and EC to try figure out which way I am going to go. I haven't ruled out either yet. I am WAITING for an outcome from TESC on an evaluation for a different degree program. I maybe the master of the obvious here, but WOW the disparity level in customer service levels is huge. Even though EC has their red tape and hoops their service is head and shoulders above TESC. There are a lot of things I like about TESC, but I am not sure I can handle the lag time and service over the next year. I know this has been covered a ton on here, but I figured I would share my experience. It is not that EC seems to be all roses. I may nee to file an appeal on the evaluation, but even with that sooo much easier to deal with. TESC EC New but my 2 cents - kisseld - 07-30-2010 I have to say I may have been a little wrong and frustrated at the time I wrote the previous post. I actually had a call and interaction today with TESC that was quick and very helpful. So, I guess I am learning that moving through the porcess in general is just cumbersome and will take a lot of patience on my part. TESC EC New but my 2 cents - GoodYellowDogs - 07-30-2010 I'm with EC and the advisors have been great. I get a response within 24 hours max. Phone service has been good too. I will say that my eval before I enrolled gave me less credit than I hoped for, but once I enrolled and it went to the regular advisors, they gave me better credit for some of my classes. TESC EC New but my 2 cents - bawhitsett - 07-30-2010 Having been enrolled at both schools I can attest to this as well, though I'd heard TESC had gotten their act together recently. Guess not... TESC EC New but my 2 cents - JBjunior - 07-30-2010 I recently finished with TESC and never had any issues that weren't handled promptly. I don't know what kind of issues people have pop-up during a program that customer service has to be spectacular. Call your local community college and see how great theirs is, I know mine is horrid and you have to actually go on campus to get anything done. While it definitely would be amazing to have everyone do everything the instant you need it and would definitely be a plus, it never deterred me from TESC. I was able to change majors several times, get course approvals, registration, TA in and grades sent out, with either a quick phone call or an email answered within a reasonable time (and I am very impatient). If EC has stellar customer service that would definitely be a +1 in their favor but wouldn't be the deciding factor to me. |
