actual exam vs. study guide - jga1064 - 07-20-2010 I have been studying the intro to psychology guide and a nagging question has developed already; as I go thru this thing I find that I am answering the questions in what I'm sure would be considered correct answers by an instuctor grading a paper exam, BUT, I am not using the exact terminology that these guides require to consider an answer correct. So the question is; On the actual exam, of multiple choice questions, did the people who have taken several of these exams, have a real good sense of the correct answer when it was offered in the question? So many of the items I look at when I click on Next and get the answer, I say, OH I would've got that right had I been able to see the question formatted as in the actual test. Just wonder when enough study is enough..... please advise! actual exam vs. study guide - bethanynash - 07-21-2010 Which guide are you using? I used REA for Introductory Psychology, and I was able to pass using that with no prior psych experience. actual exam vs. study guide - Scholar Interrupted - 07-21-2010 Sounds like you're talking about the IC cards. I wouldn't sweat those discrepancies, as the real CLEP (or DSST) will be multiple choice, so you won't have to worry about getting the exact synonym they're looking for. actual exam vs. study guide - janew - 07-21-2010 I was wondering about that too - i would answer a word that was similar on the IC and it did not take it. Thanks. Jane actual exam vs. study guide - rmroberts - 07-21-2010 As long as you get the idea you're good. They're not going to put synonyms as two different options. You could try the free peterson's tests or REA to get a sense of what the questions are going to be formatted like. |
