Excelsior Partnership Question - perriquit - 07-13-2010 Hey guys I read somewhere sometime ago about Excelsior college partnerships and how they allowed to get discounts in enrollment fees and also in the cost x credit. I remember there were a few organizations you could join by a small fee and qualify for the partner discount but I dont remmeber which ones. Anybody can help me with this? the credit from EC goes down to $270 and I think that is a very significative discount Excelsior Partnership Question - MISin08 - 07-13-2010 Among others. Partnership with EC is great. Provided you don't mind taking some classes from them, and even better if you have tuition reimbursement or some other means to cover tuition for 12 credits. I'm a business major so I have to take the capstone, I had to take Managerial accounting somewhere -- no exam, so that leaves two classes, which werenot hard to find. EC's courses are pretty decent; I'm satisfied overall. I've written feedbacks here on the two I have competed so far. IEEE, POAG, and NLPOA are the organizations I've read of most often. I joined POAG. Phillip Excelsior Partnership Question - TMW2010 - 07-13-2010 I'll second POAG... $20-25 for all the benefits, AND a magazine I can leave on the front seat of my car that discourages all the hoodlums in the area from messing with it... Hehe Excelsior Partnership Question - perriquit - 07-22-2010 I checked POAG website and they have an online form to join for $20 but that is only for peace officers. I am not a peace officer and want to join as a "layman" that is $25 but there is no online form. I have been trying to call them for 3 days and all I get is a voicemail. Any member can help me? thank you Excelsior Partnership Question - TMW2010 - 07-22-2010 perriquit Wrote:I checked POAG website and they have an online form to join for $20 but that is only for peace officers. Excelsior Partnership Question - MISin08 - 07-22-2010 That sounds like what I did IIRC Excelsior Partnership Question - perriquit - 07-22-2010 what did you put in the "years as officer" field and employement agency . retired form? Excelsior Partnership Question - TMW2010 - 07-22-2010 perriquit Wrote:what did you put in the "years as officer" field and employement agency . retired form?I put 0.. I was honest... Where ever I could note it, I said I was trying to join as an associate member but they didn't hvae the payment option for that. Excelsior Partnership Question - MISin08 - 07-22-2010 I think that when you send them $20 instead of $25 they figure it out. Excelsior Partnership Question - perriquit - 08-13-2010 I sent the $20 and they sent my the membership card. I made them notice that I wanted the associate membership in the appplication but I was unable to find the form or the payment for it. A few days ago Excelsior emailed me for proof of membership and I sent a scanned copy of my card and that was it! now I can enjoy the benefits of the partnership! Thank you guys and God Bless this forum BIG TIME! Perico |
