TESC & CLEP transcript - Wires - 06-15-2010
I took 2 CLEP's on May 27 and June 3rd in order to finish degree program for the July 1 graduation deadline date. I listed TESC as the recipient of the score grades when I took the test.
I also contacted advising to let them know that I successfully completed the CLEP exams for the remaining classes, and was not waiting for TESC to receive them. They updated my record indicating I was in progress of completing these course outside TESC.
Now, I know it takes forever for TESC to update evaluations. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to receive the CLEP transcripts and have it show on the student services account that they have been received...not necessarily been updated to evaluations?
Just wanted some kind of timeline on when to expect to see "transcript received" and so forth.

Okay they are slow. You need to keep calling them and emailing them until you just can not bare to do it any longer. Have they received them yet? Have they shown up as received? If they have just keep calling and emailing until you get your resolve with them. They are painfully slow and they do not always communicate with their paying customers. Very, very bad business. Ever sit and watch grass grow? It's about as slow and boring as that. Sorry, but TESC is great for many reasons but timely processing of paperwork is DEFINITELY not one of them. I've found that it takes them 2 weeks to acknowledge they've received any new transcripts and another 6 to add them to your evaluation. :ack:

Just as recently as last month it was taking about 4-5 days for them to receive them and about a week longer for them to pop up as being received online. Call and check and let them know you are getting ready for graduation, I have always had positive results.

I was told when I took the CLEP that it could take 2-3 weeks for TESC to receive the scores....which I find odd since it is all done by computers.
Anyways, I am going to wait until Thursday (which will be 3 weeks since my first CLEP). If it is not showing as received, the nice person over at the Registrar's office, that I contacted via the help ticket about when to send the graduation application, provided his email and direct phone if I encounter problems. So, he may be getting a call on Thursday for verification / reassurance.

Hi Wires,
I took my exams about the same time as you May 26th DSST and June 5th CLEP. My last DSST (May 4th) took only 2wks to show received. Maybe they are low on personnel don’t know, but I already faxed my graduation form in on June 10th and have received confirmation email of September 10th graduation pending certification. You only need to add those outstanding exams to the space provided on the graduation form. When I fax the graduation form I also include my copy of the score report print outs as proof of passing. TESC will then handle the rest.
You are way ahead of the July 1 deadline (the goal is that the tests be completed by July 1). They will then be on the look out for the score reports. Don't worry, you have plenty of time to get processed and certified for September graduation.
It was exactly the same process when I applied for my associates graduation. I was told its best to get in line early so they can begin to process your file. I applied for my March associates graduation early December (deadline was Jan 1) and processing was seamless.

According to the student services account info online,
TESC received CLEP transcript on 6/7/10...it did not show up online under transcripts until 6/17/10.
So, I guess I will wait a bit longer to see the 2nd transcript received!
At least I know they are arriving!
