Need a DSST that would go towards LA req. - phenix - 05-31-2010

Need a DSST that would go towards LA req. - Chebasaz - 05-31-2010

Does it have to be a DSST or can it be a CLEP as well? If just DSST, can it be any elective credit towards the LA degree or does it need to be a Social Sciences/Humanities? Upper level/lower level?

If any credit will do - Principles of Supervision leaps immediately to mind.

Others -

Fundamentals of Counseling
Foundations of Education

If it has to be upper level, I'd go with "Here's to your Health" or "Substance Abuse"

If you can work CLEP's in it gets even easier... Finally, there's FEMA credit as well. You can knock those out in a few hours if your school will take the transfer.

I should have been clearer.. Its a Lower Level, General Education requirement.

So either CLEP or DSST...

Need a DSST that would go towards LA req. - Yenisei - 05-31-2010

One of the history exams (either CLEP or DSST), or one of the sociology, math, science, psychology or economics exams, among others, should do.

But my credit transcript says it needs to be Liberal Arts related.

You stated lower level gen ed requirement so that includes the subjects listed by Yenisei
  1. AOJ-101 Intro to Law Enforcement (check with your advisor to see if this course would be accepted)
  2. AOJ-102 Criminal Justice
  3. ENG-201 Technical Writing
  4. ART-166 Art in the Western World
  5. EDU-102 Foundations of Education (check with your advisor to see if this course would be accepted)
  6. ANT-101 anthropology
  7. AST-101 astronomy
  8. SOC-101 sociology
  9. PSY-101 psychology
I would advise you choose a course in which you already have a strong background; will make it easier/faster, just a light review and take the exam. good luck!
