Language Classes - tbradford1 - 05-27-2010

Just wanted to let anyone know who may be looking for a language class online (since some colleges require it), Rio Salado has Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese and Arabic online through the Intermediate II level (they may offer other languages but those are the ones I saw).

I was surprised to see something other than Spanish and French and since I really want to learn Japanese it was perfect for me. They let you go with a 14 or 8 week option with the classes as well, and the materials for my class were relatively cheap ($70, and I can use them for JPN101 and 102). I'm starting JPN101 next week so I'll let you guys know how it goes! Smile

Rio Salado College - Cashier
Quote:Distance Learning
Courses offered outside of Arizona, including distance learning, to non-resident out-of-state students. $215 per credit hour
(plus extra admin and extra course fees and materials)
A bit pricey for me, but a decent choice I suppose if someone wants some language credits via DL.

Yeah I'm lucky because I just moved to AZ, while I don't get in-state/district tuition for a year, I get a lower rate ($96 c/h) so long as I stay below 6 credits a semester. It is pricey but I've found it difficult to find Japanese classes online so I thought it couldn't hurt to mention it. Smile

Also, thank you for posting the tuition link, I forgot!
