thoughts on the next clep exam? - aircav - 05-26-2010 Tomorrow morning (27 May 10) I take the Marketing test. Assuming I pass, any one have some thoughts on the next test to take? My degree program is general studies and I am pretty much wide open, upper division credits are a bonus. Thus far I have taken and passed the following Cleps Macro-econ Sociology psyc Pricp of management US history I US history II and subjects I have credit for in class Micro-econ english comp/lit Im looking to take the less intensive ones first. More bang for the buck so to speak. Im going to hold off on Chemistry for now, it scares me:leaving: Nate thoughts on the next clep exam? - Yenisei - 05-26-2010 I thought Western Civ and Am Gov't were pretty easy. You didn't mention DSST exams, and I think Intro to Business is one of the easiest, if not the easiest. thoughts on the next clep exam? - aircav - 05-27-2010 allright, passed principles of marketing with a 70! I felt like I didn't do quite that good, but I wasn't worried about failing. So I just picked up the REA book for American Govt' and plan to take that one next week! Thanks thoughts on the next clep exam? - Loec - 05-27-2010 Not to frighten you or anything but do be cautious on that exam. It is not to be underestimated. Make sure you understand everything about the three branches of the government, all the amendments, and the major court cases. If you know all those very well, you should fine. Hope this helps. thoughts on the next clep exam? - FenderNed - 05-28-2010 Loec Wrote:Not to frighten you or anything but do be cautious on that exam. It is not to be underestimated. I agree with Loec's comments. I passed American Government but it was my lowest scoring exam to date. This can be a tough one! Granted it was one of my earliest exams and I took it before joining IC, but it shouldn't be underestimated. Very much doable, but make sure you are prepared. thoughts on the next clep exam? - NAP - 05-29-2010 If your school accepts it, the Analyzing & Interpreting Literature CLEP is a popular "easy" choice on the board. (Be careful with the "easy" word. It is easy because there is not a lot of studying involved for most people, but it is not an easy test.) Be respectful of the Chemistry exam, but don't be scared of it. I took it and know that others can do well on it, too. Just give yourself enough time to learn the material. thoughts on the next clep exam? - protester - 05-31-2010 Because you have already passed Sociology and Psychology, I recommend you take Human Growth & Development. There is a lot of common material between the three and Human G&D has quite a few questions that you can just answer by common sense. I used REA for all three and passed them all in a 2-week period. If you were good at math in the past, pick up an out-of-print algebra textbook and work some problems from each chapter. Math is a good subject to knock if you already are good at it. Learning an entire field of math on your own is pretty tough for most, however. If you are lucky enough to know calculus, you could take college math, algebra, precalculus, calculus and get a lot of credits. Check out Khan Academy for math/science help! I second the American Government nomination as well. It is important that you understand the way the branches of government and officeholders are to function and it's fairly easy to learn if you study a bit. Keep up the good work! thoughts on the next clep exam? - IgnazSemmelweis - 05-31-2010 Does it have to be CLEP? |
