Statistics for EC - BABEY - 05-26-2010
Does anyone know if Excelsior accepts both Intro to Statistics and Business statistics from aleks as two separate subjects?

EC only takes one of the Statistics subjects.

can someone confirm if they will take both the
Intro to Stats
and
Business Stats
since it seems Excelsior can have a lack of consistency.

I know they accept ALEKS intro to stats. I think depending on your major they may or may not take more than one, but I think they basically overlap each other so they can only take one. Now if you took an advanced stats class elsewhere they may accept that along with the ALEKS stats.

EC accepted Business Stats for my BS in Business. I would not expect them to grant a student credit for both, as they are nearly the same.
FWIW I took EC's Quantitative Methods class, a 400-level elective that reviews part of the Intro Stats content, and I got credit for both.

Hi BABEY,
EC only applied one of the three ALEKS stats courses I submitted. It doesn't really matter which one. Although the extra two will still be listed on the final transcript 'below the degree line', you will only receive credit for one.
