Sent mine last Thursday night, TESU received it on Monday, academic evaluation done on Wednesday. So I'd say up to a week. I would recommend sending your SDC transcript no later than next Friday 12/24

Slamming through Discrete Math right now. I think I see why TESU is no longer accepting it. At least some of the quiz questions are missing an essential word or phrase. At best, it makes the question ambiguous. At worst, the question is nonsense. I have to think about what the question is probably asking based on which lesson I'm in. Definitely not ideal.

I don't remember quiz questions missing parts.

WGU, Purdue, and most schools still accept Discrete Math from Study.com.  I'm not sure why TESU decided not to accept this course.  It is a good course overall, and they do teach the subject well.

If you don't get a concept, it's usually better just to keep moving on to the next lesson.  Just make notes on things you are having trouble with.  Then at the end, take the practice exam and see where you are at.  If you score above 65% on the practice exam, then you are ready for the final exam.  If you score below 65%, then study the parts you missed and retake the practice exam.

"Why would someone with fewer crashes want a lower insurance deductible?" is a somewhat different question than "Why would someone with a lower PROBABILITY of crashes want a lower insurance deductible?" There have been a few questions like that. Not a lot, maybe only 3 or 4, but definitely more than one. It's possible that the other schools haven't actually reviewed the course and have just accepted the ACE recommendation. And I do agree that the course, in general, is fine. But I can still see why a deep review of the course might reveal issues that TESU thinks are too problematic.

I doubt it has anything to do with this. And everything to do they’re trying to squeeze out alt credit little by little. They think it will put more money in their pockets, but I think it will do just the opposite. People will choose WGU and others over TESU in the future. All courses whether alt source or university have slight errors or wording issues. They’re written by humans. Nothing is perfect. IMO it’s wrong of tesu to quit courses at the drop of a hat. They should give appropriate notice (Like a semester). There are many people who have invested a lot of time already in these courses to have the rug pulled out from underneath them.

I agree with the thought - many will go to other institutions. Only few will choose TESU in the future

Being locked into a catalog just ensures that the degree requirements won't change - it does not guarantee that courses you want to take will be accepted forever, nor does it guarantee that prices won't go up.

This is true for all schools, btw.  They change policies all the time.  But being enrolled and locking in the degree is the best you can do.
I hammer this point every chance I get. I understand that sometimes there isn't time to work on a degree, however it is highly unlikely that waiting will result in it being faster, easier or cheaper. Most likely it will be the opposite.

If you are reading these forums because you are looking for best practices for completing a degree please don't put it off. Make your plan and work it as fast as possible. Don't quit and don't procrastinate and you can do this!

Well its not always that easy. There r so many components involved- time, finacial situation and other responsibilities.
So not everyone can just jump in and do it as fast as possible. If it would be that easy, a lot of people here would be done with degree some time ago .....

There should be transparency by TESU. The only reason we know about this is because the op accidentally stumbled across it. If it wasn’t for the op we probably wouldn’t know until it they were scraped.  Tesu was just sitting back ready to lay the hammer down on January 1st. When the professional thing to do is on January 1st state your new policy and give a semester grace period or grandfather anyone in who has started the course. With that said I bet that the study.com courses that they’re doing away with are more rigorous than many ra institutions versions. It’s sneaky and it doesn’t look good on them.

Finished Discrete Math today. It's totally possible to finish it in 24-48 hours but I definitely wouldn't recommend it! Tomorrow, I'll take Computer Architecture's exam so I know how many points I need for the assignment I've got half-done right now. Finishing both of these classes in a week is ridiculously stressful. Especially with the holidays coming up.
