I put in my information and all I got was an email saying I should pick a course. I don't like answering calls from numbers I don't know; it's usually a scam or a telemarketer. If they've been calling, they haven't bothered to leave any messages. my call came from 954 area code; it did not say "Purdue" on my phone. they did not ask for any personal info over the phone, just walked me through some emails and the online application/forms, which all had legit addresses. RE: Purdue Global: Free Courses for Covid-Impacted Workers - Clepper43 - 06-01-2020 My son's application said it was $500 or something on the paper but the counselor said no, its free, but it still looks like we are agreeing to pay. The paperwork says "self funded." Anyone have this issue? I would get documentation that they enrolled you in the correct, free version of the course. On a form entitled "Educational Funding Plan," the "Other" box was checked for "Primary Funding Options", "Secondary Funding Options", and "Alternative Funding Options". No mention of a specific dollar amount anywhere. That was the form sent with the "Online Enrollment Agreement - General Non-degree-Seeking Students" form." RE: Purdue Global: Free Courses for Covid-Impacted Workers - innen_oda - 06-02-2020 So I never got a call from them just an email saying 'please pick from one of the below list of courses', despite signing up on 19 May, so I called the number at the bottom of the email, and the lady directed me towards purdueglobal.sophia.org, which basically just has the Sophia courses and none of the courses that were listed in their original email to me. Does anyone have a number I can call? RE: Purdue Global: Free Courses for Covid-Impacted Workers - bjcheung77 - 06-02-2020 I signed up for a course yesterday, I did call an advisor directly though to get signed up. Here's the telephone number for online students, just ask for an academic advisor. To contact Purdue University Global, call 844-787-3834. https://www.purdueglobal.edu/contact-us/ If for some reason you can't get to them with this number, PM me and i'll give you the number for mine. I'll give them a try again right now. Filled the contact form, got an email saying "pick the class" and then nothing happened. So I called and that was PAIN. Ppl did not know about the free classes and my call was transferred multiple times. Then I finally got directed to a person that handles free classes. Her name is Josefina Aldama. Email her (firstname.lastname@purdueglobal.edu) and ask about free classes. She'll walk you through the process. RE: Purdue Global: Free Courses for Covid-Impacted Workers - rachel83az - 06-04-2020 Looks like I missed out on this; been too dang busy to deal with adding another free class right now. Oh well!
