Some concrete updates on this: -The term for competency based classes is truly that short time frame listed above and the class is self paced. -The term costs $1,000 each for Texas residents and $2,000 for out of state residents; the program is awarding a $1,000 discount to all registered students in these early courses for this term only. So it ends up being free for Texas folks and $1,000 for others. I told the school its not on the website and they are going to add it. -These classes belong to new programs that have been sent to the state for approval to be offered in Fall 2025 but they have not been formally approved or announced at this time. The entire program would be self paced and paid by the term like WGU's model sort of.
