RE: TESU dialed in plan - coldseal - 02-06-2019

So I ran into a problem today trying to sign up for the Capstone. I was told that I need to have only 1-2 courses left on my plan to complete. This is a little disappointing since the website says at least 100 credits, and has no mention of 1-2 courses left to complete before signing up for the Capstone, anyone else have any feedback on this?

OMG, TESU just gets better and better.  I would call and tell them to look at the website.  If they have a policy, then they should put it on the website, not spring it on people after they've posted a DIFFERENT policy on the web.

Contact advising. I think a couple of other people ran into this and had to have advising unlock the Capstone for them.

As I recall, they also sent an email about this in mid-December. That email specified that the new policy requires a minimum of 100 credits (including the bulk of AOS courses complete) and a 2.0 GPA in order to register for a Capstone course after January 1st, 2019. You could dig that up and submit it as further evidence.

What they probably meant was 1-2 classes left in your AOS.  I ran into the same problem, partially because they didn't stick my credits in the right place.  I had to email an adviser with exactly which credits went where to prove I was almost done with my AOS.  I think I had about 102 or 105 credits at the time.

So in essence, you must have 100+ credits and have all but 1-2 classes completed in your AOS before they will give you permission to register for the Capstone.
