These are articles I came across when they were published. I had them bookmarked. I'm a black woman, and I've studied racial profiling in my PhD program. Of course, I would have an interest in this stuff.

Anyway, I think I'm going to try to stay out of further dumb arguments.

I won't be voting Trump. Not that it matters, I live in California and it will definitely go blue in November (and to that point, I definitely won't be voting Clinton either -- and Bernie won't be on the Ballot in Nov).

Holy poo poo. My question was Is there any legitimate press outlet covering the fact that the Trump campaign is actively colluding with white supremacist talk show hosts, or is it just media matters? I didn't ask if the incident was covered - obviously it was. I wanted to know which major ("legitimate") press outlet is making the claim that you and media matters appear to be making (that the campaign orchestrated events with racist groups deliberately).

Slightly off topic but I was reading the study sanantone posted “Employers’ Replies to Racial Names”. I wish someone would do a follow-up study measuring employers’ replies to Indian & South Asian names. I wonder if one of the study authors, Mr./Dr. Sendhil Mullainathan experienced any challenges in this regard himself.

Don't remember much about ANY math courses I took, but when a candidate speaks about "Mexican" judges, or calling a US Senator "Pocahontas" (and intending it as a pejorative term), or excluding Muslims from MY country, the phrase "lowest common denominator" comes to mind. Trump actively searches for the muck in our souls, and encourages us to think that it's gold.

Donald Trump, because voting for the folks who've been there will only get you the same results. I really hope that an initiative for a constitutional amendment is passed limiting service to-two terms. When I debated at the NV caucus, we briefly discussed a constitutional amendment with none opposed to the idea.

My objection to term limits is that I think it will mean that Congressional staffers and lobbyists - none of whom are elected - will be the only folks who know how the system works. Knowledge is power, and they'll have the power to run the country.

An example of this is the discussion around Mr. Trumps possible running mate. Many opine he needs someone with experience of the Washington system so that Mr. Trump can be an effective executive officer.

(May God NOT strike me down for even putting "effective executive officer" in the same sentence with Donald Trump's name.)

They already run the country by buying out life long politicians. Someone who has 1 or 2 terms may not have the corruptibility versus a lifer.

We could get different results; we could get much worse. My hope is that Congress and the Supreme Court will stop Trump from doing anything crazy. The main problem with Sanders is that his ideas aren't likely to pass Congress.

Sanatone,

My concern about Congress or the Supreme Court stopping Trump from doing anything dangerously crazy (as opposed from doing anything crazy, he already has crazy down cold), is two-fold. First, the S.C. takes too long to rule on things. (Also, remember Andrew Jackson, the Supreme Court, and the Trail of Tears.) Second, Congress is a SEPARATE branch of government, and I'm afraid it will bring about a weakened executive office. So much for checks and balances.
