People may be in rural areas outside the large cities with spotty internet connections, it's tech issues and limitations being more of the concern. In addition to that, there may be regulations imposed on the college board by the government. I can think of may reasons similar to OnlineDegree.com and WGU not working for non US students...Wait a minute, onlinedegree doesn't accept international students? RE: Is it possible to complete 12 Sophia courses with min 97% per course in 3 months? - rachel83az - 09-14-2023 OnlineDegree is supposed to be for US students only. Some non-US students have managed to get credit there anyway, but not everyone has been able to. RE: Is it possible to complete 12 Sophia courses with min 97% per course in 3 months? - bjcheung77 - 09-14-2023 Yes, age and location play a role in most of these ACE/NCCRS providers, most of the providers will accept international students (inside the US) or US Citizens/PR (outside the US). Most follow the age 13 or above guidelines, but Study.com is 16, Onlinedegree.com is 18. It's in the FAQ area, question #5 & #6... Link: https://www.onlinedegree.com/faqs/#question5 They accept students 18+ in age in #11... Link: https://www.onlinedegree.com/faqs/#question11 Here's a link to a post of mine, in turn, it links to 3 of my previous posts from last year explaining COPPA and the workaround. Can I still use Study.com, Straighterline and Sophia? I don't understand (09-13-2023, 07:12 AM)rachel83az Wrote:I was thinking of using a VPN to take some clep exams and I don't know if it can work because you install a software to check your computer.(09-13-2023, 06:49 AM)ausernameisneeded Wrote:(09-13-2023, 06:11 AM)rachel83az Wrote: Whole package means your degree, your work experience, your letters of recommendation, etc. In general, most individual classes play little to no part in this. Exceptions for programs that specifically want certain classes to be on your transcript.I see. And before the exam you have to show your government ID (spoiler alert, it's not a U.S one) RE: Is it possible to complete 12 Sophia courses with min 97% per course in 3 months? - rachel83az - 09-15-2023 You can 100% use SL, SDC, and Sophia. It's the ones that have already been mentioned that are iffy. DSSTs are iffy, too. RE: Is it possible to complete 12 Sophia courses with min 97% per course in 3 months? - bjcheung77 - 09-15-2023 That's right, the only 3 you need to look at are, CLEP, Onlinedegree.com, WGU, these are not for international students... The rest doesn't really have anything remotely indicating they don't work with international students at all. I contacted modernstates and they told me that there are international students taking remote CLEP exams in their home country. Do you know how that would work? Because the proctor needs your ID before you start the exam. He or She'll see that it's not a U.S one. RE: Is it possible to complete 12 Sophia courses with min 97% per course in 3 months? - rachel83az - 09-16-2023 Maybe they meant international as in "US expats", which could be true.
