RE: New DBA on Upgrad by ESGCI - Harry101 - 07-22-2023 I finally got response from International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS) and World Education Services (WES), and i sent it to other evaluators from this list https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/documents/education-assessed/how.html This is what ICAS had to say : ( image of the email https://ibb.co/yh3K5Y8 ) "Thank you for your enquiry For education completed at a private higher education institution in France, we can provide a meaningful assessment only for a diplôme visé (un diplôme d’école revêtu d'un visa officiel). We cannot provide any type of meaningful assessment for qualifications listed in the RNCP or for school-issued qualifications (certificats d’école). Thank you ICAS Canada" While this is what WES had to say; "Dear _My name_ , Thank you for your interest in World Education Services (WES). Our free International Degree Preview Tool ( https://applications.wes.org/ca/degree-equivalency-tool/ ) can provide you with a preview of the equivalency for most degrees awarded by recognized degree-granting institutions worldwide. Best regards, WES Customer Service" I welcome anyone to use the tool from WES database and see it for your self how the results turn up to be. I know i am not surprised by the outcome how they are not covered in the database. I took liberty and uploaded a link with a PDF file for all of the listed institutions in WES library from France; https://docdro.id/zyWDL4L RE: New DBA on Upgrad by ESGCI - Eran - 08-20-2023 (07-21-2023, 07:52 AM)smartdegree Wrote: I spoke with my boss who is originally from Paris and graduated from EDHEC. She explained to me how accreditation works for business schools. She says some business schools are considered professional education and not academic education and thus are accredited through a separate system for vocational and professional qualifications. https://www.francecompetences.fr/recherche/rncp/36610/ The institution can award degrees RE: New DBA on Upgrad by ESGCI - Harry101 - 08-21-2023 "https://www.francecompetences.fr/recherche/rncp/36610/" It literally says in upper corner "National Authority for the Financing and Regulation of Vocational Training and Apprenticeship" "It is therefore in order to meet these challenges that the network of ESG schools offers the "Business Development Manager-Level 6" certification. The latter takes into account the latest developments in the sector, and covers all the skills necessary for the exercise of the profession." Translated, it has nothing to do with academic degree granting or higher education in France. Something used for sales or for example in call centers. RE: New DBA on Upgrad by ESGCI - Kab - 08-21-2023 Te question is which types of degrees. I am not talking about this prior center of education but is necessary to be aware that each country has their rules about what is academic or not. France has many types of degrees and some are academic, some not. You cannot go to another country an apply your country rules in general. Sorry Harry101 I did not saw your comment, when I started to write was not. Mine is less relevant. You explained it better.
