That USF certificate a bunch of us did last year became a $150 course to get the certificate after we took it.

LawShelf is NCCRS.

Who knows what will happen with Credly now that it's been sold to Pearson.

LawShelf has non-credit courses that are not NCCRS recommended as well.

I never paid a penny for the USF Certificate.   I got the Credly badge, a printable certificate and added it to LinkedIn.   If you took it after the limited time free offering, then you would have to pay for the certificate similar to a handful of their other certificate offerings.

My LawShelf courses that I chose were somewhat related to the industries I work in and not eligible for credit.  I just wanted the pretty badges for my Credly profile and LinkedIn

I doubt Credly is going anywhere.  Perhaps a name change, if anything, but badges seem to be the “in” thing these days.

I said those who took the certificate AFTER we did had to pay for it.

Pearson has many years of doing stupid things. Wouldn't surprise me if they did crazy stupid things with Credly. Badges are trendy today. No one knows if they will be in 3 years or further into the future. Things always change.

I would be surprised if Pearson spent $200m on a badge service just to shut it down or change its focus entirely.

Have you seen what Pearson has done in the past? They are pretty weird. Companies buy other companies all the time just to shut them down and enjoy the tax benefits.

Hello all,

It is done! It only took:

3 weeks of going back & forth
4 different customer service representatives
2 dozen emails
1 CEO
3 Vice Presidents
1 Dean

And this is the response:

Good morning,

Your email requesting your certificate for completing the Organizational Leadership and Development Professional Certificate was forwarded to me this morning, and your certificate is attached.  Thank you for catching the inconsistency on our webpage, and I’m submitting a request to have that information updated.  We’re transitioning to digital badges for both completion of the individual courses and the professional certificate to make it easier for individuals to share their achievements.  However, if you have a moment, I’d love to learn a little more about the importance of the certificate v. the badge from your perspective so we can reevaluate the decision if necessary.

Thanks and please let me know if I can help with anything else.
Director, Product Management , Rasmussen University

Pleas see attached certificate. In my opinion, it wasn't worth it. The course might be okay to put on a resume but the badge is useless and the certificate is underwhelming.

Hmm... You forgot the 5 golden rings for their Red emergency phone! <starts calling Rasmussen>
I guess I'll just take this one off my to do lists...

RE: Free professional certificates at Rasmussen - rachel83az - 04-03-2022

Your attachment looks like a faxed black & white Xerox copy of a real certificate. Is that what it actually looks like IRL? Including the fake holder corner bits? If so, that's got to be one of the worst certificates I've ever seen. It's only slightly better than Saylor's free certificates, and that's not saying much.

RE: Free professional certificates at Rasmussen - jsd - 04-03-2022

dude got your email and spent 5mins in MS Word making the cert instead of actually addressing the problem.
