I emailed them a few days ago about my JST transcript, and the reply I got was it can take 25-30 business days for them to evaluate. Their blog post explaining the evaluation process says "up to 20." Smh. So maybe the middle of February before we know. Shmoop Literature Courses Overview - Notgodot - 01-19-2017 I emailed academic advising, asking where the classes would fit into my plan. Here's what they just sent me: Quote:Here is how those courses will transfer to Thomas Edison: Anybody know who I can appeal to? Shmoop Literature Courses Overview - alleycat - 01-19-2017 Oh boy I don't like this! Where KayV she usually has a great solution. Plus she did post all of the course equivalents to this classes from TESU data base. I would use those in your re eval to them. I had to do it many time with Edison back in the day saying this course should equal this course. At any rate, woohoo for having more English options! I think for the appeal you just send it back to the advising team email address and make your case for it, with attached documentation. It's been a while since I had to do that. Shmoop Literature Courses Overview - Notgodot - 01-19-2017 Looks like Holocaust Lit, Shakespeare's Plays, Bible as Lit and Lit in the Media might be the four I would have the best chance appealing. Shmoop Literature Courses Overview - KayV - 01-19-2017 I would definitely appeal those, it wouldn't hurt. Unfortunately, I think TESU is going the way of Excelsior in applying credits as lower level when they would have previously been upper level. At least they gave upper level for Women's Lit, but I am really surprised about Holocaust Literature not coming in as LIT-301. And there is a big difference between Modernist Literature and Intro to Modern Lit. I know I joked about jobs with low expectations before but someone slacked off and just phoned that "eval" in Shmoop Literature Courses Overview - alleycat - 01-19-2017 I would wait till the final eval is done and not just something an advisor put together. Your results could be different in the end. Advisors usually are not very useful or helpful. |
