Patten Diploma Arrived but am not excited - jsd - 07-06-2016

Oh, very weird. Now that I'm no longer enrolled, i still have the old option. Maybe I was grandfathered in or something.

Sorry, makes sense if things have changes.

Perhaps if you still have access to your classes, you could get a free transcript. After graduating, Patten clears all classes and grades from your view. So, I no longer have access to my classes or grades - that was from where there was a link to order free transcript. It might still be the case that those who are currently taking classes are able to order free transcripts otherwise, the parchment service link is what Patten uses.

Congrats on finishing off your degree! Every school is different, the way the institutions do things are strange...
Main point is, you've graduated!! Some provide the diploma parchment, transcript and frame...
Others just the parchment, it all depends on the schools policies and they are constantly changing.

I think it's an attractive diploma.

Response came, Patten wins.

Quote:Hi Akintayo

Please note that diploma covers were provided customarily during university commencement exercises, which no longer take place. It is also not common that American institutions provide free transcripts at the point of graduation, or otherwise. You are welcome to place an order if you like, and I'm pasting the link below for your convenience. They can even be delivered electronically, which is a practice that is quickly displacing paper transcript production.

I'd say you still won. With the money you saved going there you can buy a nice frame and pay for the transcript Smile

Congratulations!

Hi Sarharapost this may be off topic, but if you could answer it would be much appreciated. How long did the graduation process take? By that I mean how long from the date you completed your last class to the date you actually received your degree?

Hi Craigfin:

Sorry I missed your question. Below is the actual email sent to me few minutes I sent in my graduation form.

Quote:Congratulations again! Your degree has been awarded and your diploma will be produced at the end of this month. We expect the diploma to arrive at Patten in about 8 weeks, and then we will mail it to you. Please confirm this is the destination address:

I was already expecting my diploma to arrive in about 10 weeks from graduation date based on the email, but it took about 30 days in all to arrive to me in Slovakia. Those in the US should even get their diploma earlier. perhaps they send this email to all graduating students just in cases there'll be a delay.
