They don't know everything because they are actually working within the U of Maine system on degree programs. The actual academic advisors work with you once your enrolled. Totally different people and they're actually part of the U of Maine system. My enrollment counselor was on Long Island so who knows what he really knew about the school since he wasn't in Maine. Enrollment counselors are salespeople. RE: UMPI - Cofffeee - 02-18-2021 Talked to admission coordinator Shea I was told " You would only need to complete 30 residency credits no matter how many degrees you are pursuing. Once you achieve the 30 you can continue to add on as many programs as you like." This is also covered in their catalog. http://catalog.umpi.edu/content.php?catoid=3&navoid=136&hl=bachelor%27s+degree&returnto=search#dual-baccalaureate-degrees Scroll down to Dual Baccalaureate Degrees and Double Majors RE: UMPI - Cofffeee - 02-18-2021 Its disturbing. People without efficient knowledge in such important topic can change smones life with misleading info. Probably not in the most positive way....... RE: UMPI - ss20ts - 02-18-2021 You can add on minors. I have 3 minors. Only 1 is needed to graduate. I am wondering if she thought that's what was being asked. RE: UMPI - Cofffeee - 02-18-2021 I asked ab number of degrees.maybe she misunderstood RE: UMPI - ashkir - 02-18-2021 Accounting is a joke. HUM103 is rather long for an lower level, but really low level thinking. I like it. ASked for another class. RE: UMPI - HogwartsSchool - 02-18-2021 Next question about UMPI. Does anyone have experience with multiple accounting courses at UMPI. I am looking into their BA in Accounting program. 1. Level of difficulty for the accounting courses? 2. Time commitment to study and pass each accounting course? 3. Grading level for the accounting courses? Let me know. btw: Everyone has been a very big help, thank you. RE: UMPI - Cofffeee - 02-18-2021 As it was said here, Accounting courses have bigger work load and more writing. U can go through threat. It was few posts here ab Accounting courses. Everyone has different abilities and different experience. Same with the amount of time it takes you to complete the course and the Final Assessment. Ashkir and I have taken a few of the same classes this term. One class took me a week to get through and it took him a day or two. He had his Final Assessment written and submitted before I finished the course content. We all move at different paces. No idea what you mean by grading level. You must earn a minimum of an 80 to pass each course. |
