In the past, UMPI has accepted ALEK0003 College Algebra for MAT117.

Nice guide. I need a Bachelor's degree of some sort and it seems like UMPI may fit the bill. I'll think I'll knock out that lab over at SDC first.

Hi all.
I think that this is my first post here, though I have lurked from time to time.
Looking over all the UMPI information has me exited to (finally) get this done. I am looking more at the Bachelor of Liberal Studies, Management Information Systems Minor as it appeals to the computer geek in me, I guess. Ideas or things to watch out for?
Also, are 20+ year old University credits worth anything? (Yes, literally from last century.) Asking for a friend.

As I understand it, UMPI should accept the uni credits - or at least most of them. Some schools aren't so generous, though. TESU also accepts old credits unless they are old comp sci credits (for instance). Then they're only good as electives and not in the AOS. Other schools limit the age of credits to 5-10 years.

Depends what the credits are. I had an English class from 1993 transfer no problem.

Wouldn't you know it, though? A lot of my credits are (were?) from Computer Science classes, as I would just take classes that sounded interesting.
Oh, well. I think that my basic plan is to "start from scratch". Any credits that come through for me and still count will be a pleasant surprise. Like a gift from Past-Me to Current-Me!

UMPI doesn't have a computer science degree so at best they would transfer in as electives anyway.

Thanks for your post on this and the spreadsheet. I used your info to create my own plan for their history program and have applied for the January session. I'm transferring in 30 credits from B&M college and now working on Sophia credits (done with 12 so far). I am planning to submit for PLA for my language requirements and while doing research on the PLA, I saw several references on here that UMPI only accepts a maximum of 30 PLA credits and counts ACE credit as PLA. Did you have to do anything to get them to take more than 30 ACE credits? I'm wondering if they changed their policy, if you just have to get lucky with the right advisor, or if there is some additional legwork to get them to take all of the Sophia, InstantCert, and SDC credits.
